Arium Design was selected to design a mural highlighting the list of generous donors who contributed to the fundraising campaign Best Care for Life of the McGill University Health Centre. The objective of this campaign was to raise 300 million dollars to build the hospital and to renovate the Montreal General Hospital and the Lachine Hospital.
The mural is composed of triangular tiles that blend together. The angled surfaces of each tile reflect light in different ways thus animating the entire surface of the mural.
Following Arium’s concept, Pronto manufactured the molds for the casting of nearly a thousand tiles made of urethane. Once produced, these were first polished and then painted in three different colors. They were later identified with the names of each donor.
